About
Our Vision
By 2013, we are the “go to” organization for workplace learning and performance within the Niagara Frontier community.
About NFASTD
The Niagara Frontier Chapter is an independently-incorporated, nonprofit organization that is affiliated with ASTD. Our chapter is over 140 members strong and represents many different industries including but not limited to healthcare, manufacturing, retail, banking, insurance, sales & marketing, education, not-for-profits, as well as independent consultants, and students. This mix affords many opportunities for our members to network and collaborate on a variety of different projects. A good number of our members are also National ASTD members.
Our mission for our 2008-2009 program year is to expand our markets and grow our membership. We believe that anyone who is responsible for giving presentations and/or teaching and leading others can benefit from our programs regardless of their actual title. We’d like to invite you to join us at one or more of our upcoming program events and to contact us for more information about our chapter.
Our chapter meets 10 times a year typically on the second Friday of every month from September through June. These meetings include local and national speakers that have been invited to present on a variety of topics of interest to the learning and development profession. These meetings are usually breakfast meetings and afford those attending an opportunity to share ideas, solve problems and explore partnering in learning and performance improvement opportunities through networking with other members and guests.
